A TIMED INFINITY

A muttered night, a humbled dawn,

meandering by the run of a clock

that dials a moonlit, sanguine path

through the eternal, deadened brush.

The thicket burrows through the shadow

of a mourning Nature's shallow Sun,

lighting the destiny of a wooden critter's

uneasy road through seas deep above.

The seas rain down upon the ground,

while the mist fries the feathered love

of a mocker's stolen, broken crystal

that only shows a vacant, tired world.
