THE BULLIES OF THE WORLD

I had awoken from a dream

where those who had killed

were now all dead

and those who were hungry

had all been fed

the rich who abused

had all been bled

and the sick had been healed

breaking free from their beds

the bullies of the world

had all since, fled

and as I lay paralyzed

confused

rubbing my eyes

I sat up, staring at the wall for a moment

in profound dissapointment

that it was all in my head

I thought this line was interesting, as most people don't understand the systematic bullying that goes on in the world in the socioeconomic systems. It's been said that people of the power bully behind the scenes, so it's not always recognized.

This is a lovely poem, highlighting the various ways of inequality and bullying of the world.

Sounds like a great dream. I would have woken up disappointed too. I love the picture you chose. Do you know who the artist is?

Thanks. I'm the artist. All the pictures with the poems are my work.
