Edge of a Cloud

If only I could disappear, I'd go someplace no one else could go

I'd live in a place where answers were not always no

The capacity; It's there to grow

On the edge of a cloud, I'd fly without wings

Soaring proud, no stress about so many things

The warmth of the air, it would keep me afloat

Gravity pulls me there, where I need not gloat

All other beings reside here; peaceful, friendly, uncommonly rare

I am without fear, protected, yet free; I'm hidden with care

Off the penalizing Earth, I am at ease

My value, my worth; No need to appease

The only thing that matters is me, my happiness and joy

No longer stuck like a bee, in honey; A ploy

The warmth of the air, it held me afloat

Gravity pulled me there, where I need not gloat

All other beings reside here; peaceful, friendly, uncommonly rare

I am without fear, protected, yet free; I'm hidden with care

A golden path built just for me, to follow and find

A feeling; I'm free, my resting place is kind

Reality tells me there is no way, I'm lost

I only wish I could force decay, but what's the cost?

Do I let it hurt me, or let it hurt him?

Can I be free? Or will I be left as a light; the almighty dim
