FULL TEXT: As a child, on Christmas Evenings, I’d gaze at the Sparkling Apple Cider on the table The chandelier’s glow, in Grandma’s dining room, lime lighted the gold wrapping on the curvy bottle. Mama’s fierce looks of, “I know you bet’ not touch” Kept my hands in my pockets for sure. What can I say, I’ve got a thing for innocent bubbly’s, The sweet, tangy fuzzes tickling my taste buds. I’ve got a thing for Grandma’s Sweet potato pie, December navy blue skies and Soulful Christmas carols. On Christmas Evenings, I had my cootie shots. Didn’t care for mistletoe kisses.
