IF I'DA KNOWN

If I'd known then what I know now:

Wear something blue every day,

Have fresh-cut flowers and greenery

All of the time,

Always wear perfume or lotion

Or oil, especially in your hair,

Remember people's names and

Always speak to them,

Don't farm out your animals

(unless you have to),

Always take in your folks,

Honor your dead,

Respect the different 

And admire them for being brave,

Try to love yourself

By loving other people,

Give all you can of yourself

Joyfully,

And forgive yourself 

Sooner than later.
