PSALM OF MEADOW AND SEA

When we last held each other,
both with shaking hands,
some things I would have said
but never got the chance.
But I feel somehow you know,
as my belly starts to grow,
we're all swaying in this endless cosmic dance.

Won't you meet me where the meadow
greets the sea?
Tell me stories of the tide until the sun
sets me to sleep.
And when I wake I know the ropes and boats will all
have been set free.
Still, could we meet here where the meadow
greets the sea?
