NEEDLE SCARS

Needles scars on both his arms, his hands, and in between his toes
An odor that cannot be perceived as something he's grown used to
Blood is leaking from the festering wound on the side of his skull
All his senses have been drilled down till they became darkened and dull

A broken man who stitched himself back together with a needle
Looking at the careless man, one would perceive him; indeed ill
But the harsh judgment from passers-by is all that he can stand
So, when he fills that needle up, he knows the sickly demand

Needle scars on both his arms, his hands, and in between his toes
What his dreams were once upon a time, nobody ever knows
People just look at the damage he's done, not who he was before
And people questioned his intentions as the sick man sought to score
