I'm a mother and I'm a writer as well
Both jobs are amazing
I take pride in them

But oh, do you know
the struggles I feel
Trying to balance both
Sometimes, its challenging

But i do balance them both
I am responsible for what I have wrote
These words translate into all of my goals

My kids are proud
that they see me everyday
24/7 , mommy is here to play
mommy is here to cook
mommy is here to love
mommy is all of these things
Mommy keeps working nonstop

Around the clock, it's mommy mode
Around the clock, I'm in story mode
Handling all of my duties, though
While writing, i have to change the booties also

I love being a writer
I love being a mother
Both jobs are quite alike
and then different from each other

Both jobs I love and
I express my soul
Being a mother and a writer
makes me feel whole
I feel Complete

I'll even share my writing
With my daughter she's 3
and my son,
And I love them both
like the sun

I'm so blessed that I'm a writer
no other career,
allows me to show love
To my kids this way
I hope in time,
my kids will be inspired

Aamira, this is so relatable. I have 6 children and write every day. Well, I at least try to every day. I have seen the inspiration in my children though. My 13-year-old is now writing short stories in her spare time. She loves what I do. Everything I do. Also, my 10-year-old son is my advertising partner. He is an inspiration to me. He takes my book to school with him every day and tries to get all of his teachers to buy it. What more could we ask for as mother's than to know that our children are proud of us and we have made a difference? Have a great day.
