Good morning, Ardena Jean
the water's waking
if you know what i mean
calming tides are not what they seem
wake up, Ardena Jean

Good morning, Ardena Jean
the halcyon seasons
are singing to me
i have taken the high-road to peace
it's hell down town, ardena jean

Good morning, Ardena Jean
i'd rather not miss you
if you know what i mean
the air's too clear and i'm a conscious dream
go to sleep now, Ardena Jean

Good morning, Ardena Jean
see how the past seems to split at the seams?
isn't it time to understand me?
i wonder about you, Ardena Jean

Good morning, Ardena Jean
i've gone 500 miles
if you know what i mean
san francisco fell into the sea
and you should have been with me, Ardena Jean

Now I'm curious; what did the rock band do with your poem?

They made it into “scream-o” rock hollering “GOOD MORNING!!!” In gravelly shrill caterwauling.

Very nice! I can't imagine it being sung that way. Seems more like a piece meant for the acoustic guitar.

I'd love to see this is a proper song, but maybe not rock. Maybe something a bit more old fashioned.
