WHAT I FOUND THAT DAY

I look for you but I cannot find you

Look look, here it goes

I am searching for you

The leaves fall, the grass withers

Under under she goes

Turning sour like a unformed answer

I am bitter but I am-

Looking for you

Is it underneath the wind?

A shadowy surprise?

And all the while I look straight ahead and see your face

What a journey it’s been

To finally close the book that’s been home

And I find you staring back at me right where I pictured destiny’d be

You’re what I was looking for

In a friend

In a short poem

Its what I find with ease

And all the while it’s been you.

Time

What an unsuspected treasure

This is lovely. At 1st I thought it was going to be a sad poem , morning the loss of someone, then it turned around to something else.

This is gorgeous. I really feel with the narrator. "You’re what I was looking for In a friend In a short poem"
