SEARCHING THROUGH THE EARTH
Private Notes

Notes
I feel the clay
moist
and squishy
in my hands.
I dig
in the center
of the earth
laid out before me,
searching through
the squelching clay.
Searching,
searching,
for what I cannot say.
But I will continue
until I am satisfied,
for searching
is not complete
until the object
has been found.

Love the squish and squelch. I can really feel it!

I like this poem. Your word choices in the first stanza allow me to imagine the feeling of soil almost as though it is actually in my hand. Keep writing!

This reminds me of self-discovery, and just freedom. Searching for you in this big world. Taking in all the little, in the midst of all the whole wide space. -
Great description!
