Tell me what to do
when I'm in love with you
but I'm so far from you
so now I'm missing you
please tell me what to do

Tell me where to go
when I'm so far from home
but now I'm all alone
so how far have I gone
please tell me what to do

Tell me how to be
when I've lost all of me
but now I feel so free
so how hard could life be
please tell me what to do

Tell me how to smile
when I never knew I could
but they misunderstood
so now I'm underestimated
please tell me what to do

Tell me what to do
when I'm in love with you
but I'm so far from you
so now I'm missing you
please tell me what to do

Love the repetition. Part of me feels the usage of "you" in both the first and last stanza is a bit too much, but it makes sense why they are phrased that way. Perhaps consider varying the last words to change the flow. Overall, it's a really relatable feeling that you create!

I love the repetition and rhythm. Poems like that always stick with me.

Another poem of yours that gives me song vibes. This could easily be a nostalgic love song. Great one!

  • This is so beautiful. I love the sincerity in this poem. Love really is powerful, knocking the strongest of people of their feet, questioning, what do I do.

"Tell me what to do, where to go, how to be..." If we only knew the answer.
