The sky's the limit they say
So i reach for beyond
Life owes you nothing they say
So i give it a gift instead
Joy comes to those who wait they say
So i sit back and read a book
Seek and you will find they say
So i'll keep looking
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say
So everywhere i look i see beauty in so many colors
Life is what you make it they say
So i will make every moment my own
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you they say
So every person i see no matter how cruel they may be...i will love
Tomorrow is not promised they say
So i will enjoy and love my gift of today
Because no matter what they say,
I will treat every moment like my last.
I will live every day like it's my first
Like an angle given the chance to spend time on earth,
Knowing that one day we will get our wings back and realize.....
The sky was never the limit.

    A few suggested corrections. Third to last line should be "angel". And when it comes to poetry it is perfectly find to choose to not capitalize or use punctuation, but the general rule of thumb is to follow through the same format. So because you start with "i" then I would suggest either following through the whole way with NO capital letters at all, or at least never capitalizing the "I" at all, which you do a few times. Regardless, beautiful poem with a message everyone needs to remember.

      Thank you for that, I actually did that on purpose. I wanted the "i" be almost be a symbol. Almost showing the lack of selfworth until towards the end where confidence is ringing out. Thank again for you great suggestion 😁😉
