Throughout my essential oil journey (6+ years) I have received so much skepticism and downplay about my passion. The only thing I can tell them is, don’t knock it until you try it. I am a true believer in aromatherapy and love to educate others on all the benefits of essential oils. So how can essential oils benefit you?

Depending on your issues or needs, benefits range from sleep enhancers all the way to pain relief and everything in between. Whatever your problem, there is an oil for that! I’ll go over all the benefits and which oils are great!

**So, what are the benefits?
There are SO many benefits that I myself have experienced first hand and I’d love it if you could enjoy the purity and amazing benefits of them just as I do.
Some benefits include,

• Anti-septic and anti-bacterial- Peppermint, grapefruit, Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Tea tree all has antiseptic properties. Instead of reaching for an antibiotic cream or other types of antibiotic, try essential oils instead. Just make a cream with a tablespoon of fractioned coconut oil (FCO) and your chosen oils. Something like 10 drops of Eucalyptus Globulus and 12 drops of Peppermint oil. Mix it with your FCO and dab it on the affected area with a cotton swab 3 times a day.
• Skin softening- Some essential oils soften skin, if you suffer from dry winter skin, look no further. Some essential oils that work great as skin softeners are Frankincense, Turmeric, Helichrysum, Sandalwood, Lavender, and more. You can use it the same way as the first example except replace those Eos with skin softening Eos like 10 drops of Lavender and 12 drops Sandalwood. These essential oils are natural Emollients (moisturizers).
• Anti-aging- Clary sage, rosemary, lemon, and Ylang-Ylang all have natural antioxidant properties that block free radicals from causing damage to the skin. They also help aid in skin renewal. A great blend to try on the skin is 10 drops Ylang-Ylang and 12 drops Lemon.
• Hair growth- Rosemary along with Lavender, Peppermint, and Cedarwood are all effective at aiding in hair growth. You can either drop 5-10 drops of oil in 2 teaspoons of carrier oil (I use Fractioned coconut oil for everything) or drop 10-12 drops into your normal shampoo or an unscented natural shampoo, shake well and use regularly. Rosemary mixed with lavender should work well.
• Libido booster- Rose, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli, Palmarosa, and Clary Sage are all-natural libido boosters. You can diffuse these oils or make a massage oil with 6 drops Ylang-Ylang and 8 drops Jasmine (or whatever oil you choose.)
• Pain relief- There are A LOT of essential oils that have natural pain-relieving properties such as Peppermint, Lavender, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Clary Sage, and Chamomile (both Roman and German). Make a massage oil with these oils using about 30 drops in all in a tablespoon of FCO. You can use whichever essential oils you please but a great blend that I know works is 15 drops of Peppermint and 15 drops Eucalyptus. It relieves pain and opens your sinuses at the same time.
• Acne reducer- Some essential oils that work magic on acne are Tea tree, Lavender, Juniper Berry, and Peppermint oil. You can mix your oil of choice with a very small amount of FCO and dab it on the affected spot 3 times per day.
• Anti-spasmodic- Roman Chamomile, Rosemary, Clary Sage, and Lavender (just to name a few) all have antispasmodic properties which means they relieve involuntary spasms of the muscle.
• Anti-stress and Anti-depressant- I use essential oils for this more than anything else! Eucalyptus and Peppermint work great as well as Lavender and Lemon. There are literally endless options (look at my “Essential Oils for the Stressed Mommy” article in my stories.)

As you can see, the benefits are abundant! You will become a true believer if you give them a try and start to see actual results in a timely manner. For more on essential oils and how to use them, visit MintyMixx.com.
