This is Tony Trischka's banjo transcription of that good old Irish fiddle tune 'The Red-Haired Boy.' 'The Red-Haired Boy' is the name for this when it is played as an instrumental; it does have words, but when played and sung, it is called 'The Little Beggarman,' and the lyrics are very clever and go by very fast. I often perform this as 'The Little Beggarman.'
