STUDENT ARRESTED AFTER PATRON OPHIDIANCOIL HOSPITALIZED

Contemporary dance Senior, Eisla Winnowaif, was arrested last night for the appalling attack on Patron Choreographer, Wels Ophidiancoil. An unconscious Patron Ophidiancoil was brought to Origination City Central hospital two days ago after [redacted for sensitive readers]. At the time, Officials denied having any suspects, calling the event “a tragic and unheard of attempt on the life of one of the greatest Patrons in Origination City’s history.”

Winnowaif had just finished her SR Show and was walking from the lobby of Monument Auditorium when Officials apprehended her. Witnesses on the scene claim she was accompanied by Patron Ballerina Pawli Pointelle. Patron Pointelle, who has served as Winnowaif’s guardian for thirteen years, declined to comment.

Central Official Station is still detaining Winnowaif for questioning. Meanwhile, citizens are wondering what kind of monster is capable of attacking a citizen, let alone one of our beloved Patrons.

So far, it is unclear why Officials suspect Winnowaif, but classmates say she and Patron Ophidiancoil were close. The OP spoke with classmate and fellow contemporary dance student, Kylo Liltsome, about Winnowaif.

“He always kept her after class,” said Liltsome. “He saw something special in her. We all did.”

Winnowaif was born in the Mids before relocating to Origination at the age of five. She is the daughter of Cashiel and Daph Winnowaif, two prominent rebels killed in the Second Uprising. Just before her arrest, Winnowaif was awarded the prestigious Life Income Guarantee Scholarship for Contemporary Dance.

Patron Ohpidiancoil received the same award almost a decade ago. He went on to become the youngest Patron in the history of Origination City after charming citizens with his emotive dance style. We wish Patron Ophidiancoil a speedy recovery and await justice to be served on his behalf.

The OP will continue reporting on this story as we receive updates.

DADE II GRAFFITIS RING AFTER THROWING FIGHT

SUPREME DOMINATOR CALLS FOR HIS RESIGNATION

The S.D. is calling for Dade II’s resignation after the boxer's horrific display of creativity at last night's fight.

Reporters on the scene caught the S.D.’s statement last night as he was leaving Waste Land City Stadium.

“Acts of art such as the one committed tonight by Ferric Dade AKA Dade II will not be tolerated,” the S.D. stated. “To the people of Waste Land City: know we are taking this very seriously, which is why I am calling for Dade II's resignation from the Citywide Boxing League.”

Dade II's fans wonder what got into the famed boxer, who's known for his controversial boxing style. Many are speculating it had to do with last night's fight that pitted Dade II against longtime rival Thiger Thwaite.

The match was called in Thwaite's favor with a score of 120-118.

Gattie Sligh spoke to the media about the loss at a CBL after-party, where Dade II was notably absent. "Anybody watching'll tell ya the score was a scam. Dade II landed more punches. No way he lost that fight."

Yet before the fight was even scored, Thwaite himself told a different story. "I'm stronger and I hit harder," said Thwaite. "That's how I know I won. Just wait for the score. You'll see."

His prophetic statement came true moments later when the S.D. himself announced the score in Thwaite's favor.

That's when, using contraband spray paint cans, Dade II took to the ring and vandalized it with this disturbing image.

Rumors are circulating that the S.D. plans to bring in an expert from Origination to decipher the meaning behind the image.

So far, we've been unable to reach Dade II for comment.
