A short poem about seeing the sun after a long winter.
I awoke to a burning yellow ball
glaring through the window and hot
quivering through the passing clouds
Such a thing I had not seen
In what seemed to be a lifetime
and so I forgot what it was
thinking to myself the end of the world

This imagery of this is absolutely amazing. I can only imagine the surprise, the beauty, the curiosity and intrigue, and near fear of the sight. The short phase of emotions. You so swiftly painted so much beautiful imagery and emotion. Lovely work.
Thanks. I try to tell small stories with my poetry.
Great piece! Love the symbolism!
I love that I could tell exactly the picture it was painting!
