As CBD becomes more popular, more people are wondering where to get their CBD products. Believe it or not, there is research that goes into purchasing quality CBD.

You get what you pay for in the CBD world. So how exactly do you figure out where to buy it? That's what we're about to find out.

Some things to consider when buying your CBD products are desired concentration, ease of use, how long it takes to take effect, how long it lasts, taste, quality of products, and so on.

First, decide what you want and go from there. If you're serious about using CBD to treat your ailments, there is more to the process than picking up a bottle of the nearest oil.

Concentration

There are different concentrations to choose from. Everyone is different and unfortunately, it's impossible to come up with a universal dosage since you would have to factor in weight, diet, metabolism, genetics, product consistency, and so on.

You must figure out your dosage on your own. To do that, it's recommended to start with 25mg twice daily.

From there, monitor the effects/results and if you aren't getting your desired effects, increase the amount by 25mg every 2-4 weeks until you start to feel relief from your symptoms.

For children under 10, start the dose lower. It's important to ask your doctor's advice on dosage for children.

Ease of use

Depending on your preferences, you may prefer one product over another. If you want it to be easy and discreet, you may choose capsules or oil rather than an edible or vaping that takes more time to consume.

Capsules are great for busy working adults. You can take them at work, in traffic, in the bathroom, pretty much anywhere.

Oil is slightly more complicated, it's still quick but it isn't as discreet as a capsule. You must measure it out and then drop it in your mouth.

Edibles and vaping, on the other hand, take longer to consume and are more obvious but they are good for on-the-go.

Immediacy of effects

Some products are quicker to take effect than others. Depending on what you choose, it could take from 5 minutes to an hour to feel results.

If you are looking for fast results, one of the fastest ways to get them is vaping or smoking CBD rich flowers. You feel effects as fast as 5-10 minutes.

If you aren't into vaping or smoking, the next fastest method is using CBD oil or tinctures under the tongue or sublingually. Using this method, you begin to feel results in about 20 minutes.

Oral ingestion takes about 30 to 60 minutes to feel effects but it's worth the wait, plus there are many things to choose from -- gummies, suckers, brownies, drinks, and so much more.

If you choose to take CBD topically using a cream or lotion, it can take up to an hour to get results. It is well worth the wait since it lasts longer than other methods.

How long it lasts

Each method gives you different results. The quicker it takes effect, the faster the effects are gone. Here's a quick look at the time frame of each.

Vaping or smoking- Lasts up to 3 hours.

Sublingually- Lasts 4-6 hours.

Oral ingestion- Lasts 4-6 hours

Topical- Lasts more than 5 hours.

Quality of product

This is the number one thing you should look for when looking to purchase CBD products.

Because there is no regulation in the CBD industry, people take advantage of and sell products that aren't what they are advertised to be.

I don't recommend purchasing CBD products from your local tobacco store because chances are, they don't have quality CBD.

ALWAYS be aware of what you are buying. Especially online. Before purchasing any CBD online, google the company and make sure they are reputable and read the fine print before buying.

Don't go by what's trending! Always research the products, check ingredients, etc.

What to look for

When trying to find quality products, start by googling the best CBD brands, write a short list of the top ones and then dig deeper.

Here are some important things to look for.

· Are the products tested by a 3rd party? This is one of the most important things to look for. If a company has no certificate of analysis (lab report), chances are their product isn't pure and probably isn't what they are advertising. If there is a lab report, it should be readily available on their website. If there is no lab report, there is no way of knowing what you are consuming. Sometimes it's necessary to reach out to the company and formally ask to see a lab report.

· The cultivation process used is another important thing to know. For instance, are their products organic, do they abstain from using pesticides, GMOs, or other unnatural means? It may be hard to find this information, but most companies will at least have a statement of standard on their page highlighting their beliefs.

· How was the CBD extracted is also important to know. The best method of extraction is CO2 extraction since it's safe and delivers a pure product. If you find that the CBD you are looking at uses another means of extraction, simply do a search on it and it should tell you everything you need to know.

· Finally, once you narrow it down to a few different companies that meet your needs, it's time to compare prices. Make sure the CBD you buy isn't overly priced compared to other options. Make your dollar stretch as far as possible.

Final thoughts

Yes, it may look like a huge process but once you start your research, it should be a piece of cake.

I believe it is absolutely critical to make sure you're getting what you're paying for because as I said before, there is no regulation which could lead to you consuming chemicals and other harmful ingredients without even knowing.

Take the time to find the best CBD brand for you so you can get the results that you desire!
