BEAUTY TIPS- HOW TO STAY LOOKIN’ YOUR BEST!
Girls just want to have fun! And while they're having fun, they like to look good. Don't get me wrong, life is not all about looking good, but it helps knowing some tips here and there to get you feeling like a rockstar. These tips have proven themselves to me throughout time, and I'm now here to help you start feeling good!
Ditch the heavy makeup. Take care of your skin and avoid blemishes this way! Nobody likes a cake face and acne scars! If you want to feel good about yourself 100% of the time, you need to start with accepting your natural skin and learning to embrace it. Yeah, heavy dolled-up makeup looks good every once in a while, but it can make you look oily or overdone after a while. Try to limit to just a few products, and watch how much better you feel when you can feel confident in your own skin in only a few minutes! Rule of thumb: Go Lightweight. I personally, due to sensitive skin, just wear a bit of lipstick and I'm out the door!
Choose to wear colors you like. I realize that not everyone likes wearing hot pink everyday. Usually, we gravitate to certain hues in our clothing choices. Keep those clothes on hand. Once you've narrowed down your favorite color choices, you can have fun accessorizing and putting your own spin on things. Once, I went to Austin, TX and got so impressed by long necklaces, messy hair, flowy shirts and just straight up cool style that once I got back home, I decided to use more jewelry and have more fun with mismatched colors. You can always use the same clothes and make them look a lot different with the right play on accessories and fabrics.
Take care of your teeth. If you can make your teeth shine and your breath smell fresh, you're going to have a great day. For me, I stick to natural toothpaste, regular floss, and gum always. That's my personal preference. Some people might agree that natural toothpaste tastes more "natural" and is more gentle for your body. But whatever you do, do it well and stay clean. Your friends will appreciate it :)
If it aint broke dont fix it. I don't know why, but during the last few months I started to get really sensitive skin that would break out in a rash when I used certain things. So now, I am well aware of what works and what doesn't work. When it comes to soap, skincare, makeup products, and so on, it's best to figure out what you find works really really well and ditch the products that make you feel iffy. Sometimes, the newest and coolest isn't exactly what's right for your skin. But hey, I know it's fun to shop around. Just find your happy medium. Some products I love are Johnson's all over baby soap, Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil as a makeup remover, and a very simple oil for my hair (or else it gets frizzy). You do you! Oh and another tip, not all products listed as "natural" are exactly skin friendly or what suits you. I don't always buy into it and just go with what works instead of what sounds cool.
Feeling great in your skin all comes down to finding what products best suit you, knowing your own taste when it comes to clothing, and just embracing your natural beauty. I think everyone knows how to make themselves feel the most beautiful. I hope you do feel great in your own skin and rock it everyday!
