Private Notes

I woke one night from a dream and this is what I wrote:

 

Pebble in a pond

Ripples growing, extending

I was the pebble

The ripples, my life

But suddenly the ripples stopped

And the water was still

I searched furiously for another pebble

But my pockets were empty

So, I summoned all of my courage

And dove into the pond

With each kick and stroke, the ripples returned

And my life began again...
